As a member of search big daddy I earn in 2 ways. As a free affiliate I earn valuable advantage points which I can use for free advertising.
As a upgraded member to a city keyword manager I earn 10% of all sales generated in my hometown of Orlando.
Whether or not you wish to be a city keyword manager you can still take advantage of these awesome advertising deals in your hometown.
Your city portal currently offers three different advertising opportunities.
1. The City Portal Keyword Cloud Page:
…is located on the home page of the City Portal and ALL the consumer
visible pages of the local classified ads.
…as consumers create hundreds, and possibly thousands of additional
classified ad pages, with the merchant's word or phrase on them, the
exposure for the merchant will increase substantially.
…IS where local business will get the most bang for their buck.
…is IN YOUR FACE, CLICK ME NOW! advertising. The words and
phrases found in the City Portal Keyword Cloud Page should
ENCOURAGE the viewer to CLICK the link now! For example, a cloud
page phrase that says, "Marriage Counseling" may work, but... "Save
Your Marriage Now" will do much better. Or, a Ford dealer may choose
only Ford as their word, but something like: "#1 FORD DEALER IN
ILLINOIS" (if they are of course) stands out and makes people take
notice. Advise the dealer and increase both their exposure and your
commission.
Advertising here will also represent the BEST that your city has to offer.
The TOP of the Cloud Page will read, "City Name's Best." e.g. Phoenix's
Best, New York's Best, Tulsa's Best, etc. A business will automatically
become associated with the subliminal message underlying these words
and phrases. For example:
New York Style Pizza or Adventure Travel Guides
becomes… "Phoenix's Best New York Style Pizza" and "Tulsa's Best
Adventure Travel Guides."
We are starting with 400 words in the Keyword Cloud Page but that
number will increase. We expect larger cities to see upwards of 2,000
words or phrases in this area.
Local businesses can choose a word or phrase (up to 5 words long) from
the list available OR they may choose their own word or phrase NOT
currently on the Keyword Cloud Page.
The minimum cost is $149 per word or phrase for ONE FULL YEAR of
advertising. This will turn the word from grey to solid black and will remain
the current size.
Additional features increasing the visibility of the advertiser's word or
phrase will include adding color, increasing the size of the letters, bolding,
italicizing and placing a line above and/or below the word or phrase.
Corporate estimates the AVERAGE advertiser will spend around $170.

Each time the Keyword Cloud Page is loaded at the City Portal home
page or in the local classifieds area, the location of the advertiser's word
or phrase will be different. This prevents local residents from seeing the
same advertiser in the same place every time they visit and will encourage
them to view the Keyword Cloud Page more often. This lends a
freshness/newness to the page.
2. The TOP Position on the Search Results Pages:
The location will be an IFRAME that pulls in the merchant's web site at the
TOP of the search results for the keyword or keyword phrase they have
chosen.
The selected keyword or phrase should be the words the merchant feels
his customers will use in their search to find his business.
When a local resident visits the City Portal to search for a Pizza Parlor
they may type the word Pizza into the search box. When they do, a search
results page listing all local pizza places with web sites will come up. But
ONLY ONE TOP Position is available.
A local pizza parlor can obtain the TOP Position for just $99 for the
ENTIRE YEAR!
A TOP Position that showed an enticing daily or weekly special from the
pizza parlor immediately upon loading would get a lot of interest, clicks
and calls especially with a visible phone number.
3. A Skyscraper Banner on the side of the Search Results Pages:
This location is directly to the right of the free search listings on the Search
Results Pages. The cost to display a banner here is only $49 for one
FULL YEAR!
All advertisers who have missed the opportunity to purchase the
TOP Position should consider this position.
The banner should be 120 pixels wide x 600 pixels high. It can consist of
graphics and/or text to get the merchant's message across to the local
consumer who is visiting the portal and searching for his keywords.

I found this Joel Comm video to be very funnnyyyyyyyyy and close to home. I like to be organized. I like to have a plan. When I decided to make money online almost 2 years ago I didn't realize how overwhelming it was going to be. So about two months ago, I found myself totally overwhelmed with the free money programs, surveys and adsense revenue programs.
